This article is about Davar freeware - a Scripture Study
Tool program.
DaVaR (Hebrew: דָּבָר,
anciently meaning the thing spoken or "tongue") was also
adapted for a freeware program name to study it's derived
words.
Davar freeware is known as a free Hebrew dictionary /
lexicon program running on the Windows 95/98/ME/NT/W2000/XP
platform.
It is designed to be a helpful tool for study of Old Testament
language and modern ivrit; and now as well as New Testament greek
and latin.
Forasmuch as more public domain texts digitally surfaced, the
need for a new version 3 also emerged.
In the summer of 2004 development of Davar 3 was started from
scratch.
In the current Alpha version the features are being extended to
provide a user friendly tool for diligent Scripture studies
focusing on the original tongue and it's language
translations.
Most good-old functions from Davar 2.4 freeware will be kept
and many new will be implemented such as Scriptural verse sync with
MP3 audio narration.. so stay tuned!
