Daemonium is a metal band from Istanbul. They play a mixture of Death and Thrash Metal, also known as Extreme Metal. The founder of the band is Yener Ozturk.

The band formed near the end of summer, 2000. Initial members were Yener Ozturk (rhythm and lead guitars), Caner Marangoz (vocals) and Alper Hubar (lead and rhythm guitars). Bassist Engin Kocak and drummer Cevat Ozyildirim secured the band for it's first line-up. Over the years, the band has gone into quite a few line-up changes, after the departure of lead guitarist Alper Hubar. Baris Akbay replaced Alper, and the band continued writing and recording demos.

After the departure of Alper, the band took a more technical and faster approach to their craft. Melody was dropped in favor of speed and technicality, similar to Cryptopsy and Nile. The band utilizes the mode Phrygian in their music exclusively, which leads to a dominant Middle-Eastern sound.

The band is known for their intense use of speed, reaching metronome speeds up to and over 280 beats per minute. Playing in odd time signatures such as 9/4, 13/8, 17/8 and even 32/4 is something they frequently incorporate into their music, which is based on the idea that music should be both interesting and unpredictable technically and musically memorable in the context of a song.

The band is currently working on their first full length album, entitled "A New Age of Darkness"

Currently, the band consists of 3 members.

Yener Ozturk - Guitars
Caner Marangoz - Vocals
Roger Kares - Bass Guitar
