Dale Michael Houstman is a surrealist poet from Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He was born in King's Lynn, a medium-sized town in Norfolk, England on the River Great Ouse. It is part of the King's Lynn and West Norfolk district.

He is the author of the book of poems Alice Is Talking Again and the producer of a surrealist publication Blue Feathers.

Houstman also had a very brief comics career, as creator of Hasty Pudding, a superhero that made his first and only appearance in DC Comics' Adventure #489: "Hasty Pudding could either go very fast or stand stock still. At least that was my
idea. It doesn't make much sense as far as physics goes... It is sort of a minor thrill that in the hardback collection of DC
Superheroes (a simple listing of all "their" creations the character is mentioned. Still, I am waiting for the graphic novel!"
