The Dallas Football Classic (tentative name subject to sponsorship) is a proposed NCAA post-season college football bowl game that (pending approval from the Football Issues Committee) that will be played beginning on New Year's Day (January 1), 2011 at the Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park in Dallas, Texas.[1] This game replaces the Cotton Bowl Classic, which moved from its long time home to Cowboys Stadium in nearby Arlington in 2010, and will pit a team from the Big Ten Conference against a team from the Big 12 Conference and Conference USA in alternating years [2]. The conferences are scheduled to receive a US $1.2 million payout for the teams' participation.
