Love Field Station will be a DART light rail station located near Dallas Love Field airport for service on the Green Line and Orange Line (future).[1][2] The station will open as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010.
This station was originally proposed to serve the airport terminal directly with an underground station (much like DART's Cityplace Station), but a 2004 study showed that cost would be well beyond acceptable levels and jeopardize a federal grant. The City of Dallas officials and transit agency agreed to a nearby surface-level station on March 12, 2007.[3] Shuttle buses will serve the airport directly until the new passenger terminal is completed. At that time, a people mover system will shuttle passengers directly to the terminal via a tunnel.[4]

Dallas Love Field Station will be a future DART light rail station located near Dallas Love Field airport where the Green Line (future) and Orange Line (future) light rail systems will be constructed.[1] [2]
This station was proposed to be an underground one under the airport (much like DART's Cityplace Station), but that would be vastly more expensive, and a 2004 study showed that it would probably raise the cost-per-passenger estimates well beyond acceptable levels and jeopardize the federal grant, so City of Dallas officials and the transit agency agreed to make it a surface-level station on March 12, 2007.[3]
