Dan Davies has a varied background to say the least. His
educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science and
English from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse. His primary
occupation since 1994 has been in television. That year he
co-hosted a TV show called "Who, What, When and Where". It was
aired on WACY UPN-TV 32 in the Green Bay/Fox Cities DMA. It ran
until 1997 when he and co-producer Ron Bullock of Video Trend
Associates created a cooking show for nationally renown sports
stars. This show was hosted by Dan Davies along with Sara White,
the wife of the late Green Bay Packer great, Reggie White. This
show was aired on WACY UPN 32, NBC 13 Eau Claire/La Crosse and WPXE
TV 55 MIlwaukee/Racine Kenosha. Guests included future Hall of
Famer Reggie White, 5-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Bonnie Blair,
2-Time U.S. Open golf champion and ESPN analyst Andy North and
former Wisconsin Governor and Secretary of Health and Human
Services Tommy Thompson, just to name a few. "Sports' Cooking" ran
until 1998. Since then he has concentrated on creating, writing and
acting in internationally award-winning comedic video shorts. In
2005 he and partner Ron Bullock won the Platinum Remi (top award)
at the 38th Annual Houston International Film Festival (aka
WorldFest) in the Science Fiction category for their hilarious
send-up of Star Trek. This short titled "Killer Carrots from Hell"
can be viewed on the website www.247show.com. WorldFest is the
largest film festival of its kind with over 4300 entries
representing 37 countries and is arguably the most prestigious in
all of independent film. In 2006 they followed that up with a
Silver Remi at WorldFest in the Comedy Adaptation category for
"Beyond The Untold Story" and they also took home first place in
the Comedy category at the 20th Annual Videomaker Magazine Short
Film Contest. This can be seen at www.videomaker.com. He now hosts
a cooking/lifestyle/talk show called "Now We're Cooking" seen on
WACY My Tv Network TV-32, Ion Media Network iTV Tv 55 and Ion Media
Network iTv Tv-46. This past summer he just finished a comedic
short entitled "Captain PU in Attack of the Invasive Species" This
fall/winter he will be filming the trailer for the movie "Seed" in
which he plays a homicide detective and he will begin filming the
supernatural/political thriller "The Mushroom Man" in Oaxaca,
Mexico in which he plays a crypto-zoologist.
