J. Daniel Voors (born August 7 1985), Is an American rapper based out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is commonly known as DJV. His debut album is entitled DJV: 1-2-3, and is yet to be released.

Early Life


Born to a middle-class family in Muskego, Wisconsin, J. Daniel Voors grew up loving hip-hop music, and dressing in an urban fashion. When attending Catholic Memorial High School DJV would put on concerts for his peers to start to grow a fan-base. He was the hit at the county-wide Karaoke contest, claiming first prize for his quick rhymes, and urban beats.

His family consists of his father Jerry, his mother Carin, and his three siblings, Theresa, Nick, and Sarah.

Popularity


While Voors is only beginning to build up a loyal fan base across the country, he has become quite well known in and around the city of Milwaukee. His first concert was in the suburb of Greenfield using a local high school gymnasium as a venue. Students from the high school flocked to buy copies of his home-made CD's. The four song disc, featuring the single "Management", sold 10,000 within the week.

Appearances


As of Summer 2006, Voors has toured only in Wisconsin, mainly in the southeastern corner of the state. Dance clubs have been his most frequent venues, but Voors also made an appearance at Milwaukee's Summerfest event in July 2006 on a side stage next to the Miller Lite Oasis.
