Dana Strum (born Dana Strumwasser on December 13, 1958 in Washington, DC) is the bassist of heavy metal band Slaughter.[1] Before that, he was in Vinnie Vincent Invasion together with fellow bandmate, Mark Slaughter.[2] He was raised in Southern California's San Fernando Valley and began his performing career in the band Badaxe, playing regularly at the infamous Starwood along with Quiet Riot, Mötley Crüe, and others.

He is a friend of Black Sabbath vocalist Ozzy Osbourne; he introduced Ozzy to guitarist Randy Rhoads, and is credited with placing Jake E. Lee in Osbourne's band.[2] He's also credited with placing Vinnie Vincent and Mark St. John in Kiss.[2]
