Daniel Barnz (born 1966) is a screenwriter and director.

Barnz made his debut in directing in the 2001 movie, The Cutting Room.
He also directed the 2009 movie, Phoebe in Wonderland, which received mixed reviews from critics.
He has written and is directing a movie adaption of the novel Beastly, a modern-day take on Beauty and the Beast. The movie will star Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Hudgens, Mary-Kate Olsen and Neil Patrick Harris and will be released on 30 July 2010.[1]
