Pollock attended Swinburne Senior Community School in the Melbourne suburb of Hawthorn, Victoria throughout the mid eighties. He performed in films such as Nirvana Street Murder (1990), Death in Brunswick (1991) and Proof (1991), even though he was a known heroin addict.

He committed suicide by throwing himself under a train in Sydney before Romper Stomper was released.
