Daniel Sandford (born 1967), is an English TV journalist. He is currently the BBC’s Home Affairs Correspondent.

Early Life

Daniel was born in Ethiopia but grew up in Oxford [1]. He attended Magdalen College School, Oxford. He studied at the University of Southampton from 1985-1988, gaining a BSc in Physics with Electronics [2].

Career

From January 1989 – May 1998 he worked at ITN, where his roles included that of Home Affairs Producer, Africa Producer and General Reporter.

In 1998 he joined the BBC, acting as Home Affairs Producer and Health Correspondent. In 2002 he moved to his current role as Home Affairs Correspondent. He is perhaps best known for his television reporting of the terrorist attacks in London in July, 2005 [3].

Personal Life

He is married, is the father of twins and lives in London [4]. He is a fan of Arsenal football club[5].
