Daniel Varfolomeyev is a
rock guitarist,
composer and
record producer, born
April 6,
1985 In
Tashkent,
Uzbekistan.
At 5 years old, he relocated to
Zefat with his family.
Spotting his early talents in music, his parents sent him to classical
piano lessons, but it wasn't until the age of 13, when he picked up the
electric guitar that his musical career took course.
Influenced by flashy guitar heroes such as
Eddie Van Halen,
Yngwie Malmsteen,
Paul Gilbert and
Marty Friedman, Daniel started performing and recording with local bands and got quickly recognized for his playing skills.
After first studio appearences with Dazed and Radius in 2000-2001, Daniel started to write guitar-oriented music and experiment with multi-track recorders.
In 2001, met fellow guitar player Elad Manor and founded together a band named "Area 51".<br>
The band debuted onstage after 4 days in the Extreme Rock I Festival as a quartet playing mainly covers.<br> By 2002, Daniel released 2 of his first self-produced guitar singles, and expanded the band to a 6-piece group.<br>
Hitting the studio with ex-
Eternal Gray guitarist
Eyal Glottman, the band recorded a 3-track demo, two of which were released under the new name of "
Acropolis".<br><br>
In 2003, performed onstage with
Acropolis and one-time supergroup
G-spot , followed by a brief cooperation with
Stella Maris vocalist Dror Lukach.<br>
By the end of the year, Daniel relocated to
Tel-Aviv to study
Audio Engineeringand accepted the invitation of folk-black-metallers
Arafel to join them
for their second studio album.
