  • Prince Joachim and Princess Alexandra are now divorced. Alexandra is now allowed the title Countess of Frederiksborg. She married Martin Jørgensen on March 3, 2007.
  • Queen Margrethe II ascended the throne in 1972, but no Danish monarch has been crowned since Denmark became a constitutional monarchy in 1849.
  • Ex-king Constantine II of Greece's current name is Constantinos De Grecia (Danish passport) because Greece abolished monarchy in 1973 and its constitutional status is Presidential Parliamentary Republic, with no titles of nobility recognized to its citizens.
