Sept 10,
1993) better known as his
stage name Machiavellian is a
Cape Verdean American rapper from
Bridgeport, CT.
Biography
Early life
Danny Ramalho was born and raised in the BIG city of
Bridgeport,
Connecticut by Nicholas Ramalho and Ana Ramalho, as the fourth of his father's six children.
When he was young, he and his brothers performed at local parties and close-by clubs.
Ramalho was influenced by the artists which his cousins played on the home radio, such as
Mase and
The Notorious B.I.G.
Before becoming a rap artist, Ramalho was interested in becoming a
pianist.
At the age of 9, he wrote his first song titled
"The One n' Only".
In the song he featured his younger brother, Nicholas Ramalho better known as
Lil Kidd.
Later on, Ramalho was asked by his father to play the piano while his younger brother rapped the lyrics to his song.
This went on for about three years until Ramalho's father left to go visit his home country,
Cape Verde, for six months.
The distance between his father didn't allow him to continue playing together as a family, so Ramalho decided to move on forward on his own.
The First Time
During the departure of his father, Ramalho found out his school was holding a
dance in which would include a talent show.
Ramalho thought this was a great opportunity of accomplishing his dream since well-known
DJ Rush would be there.
Later that day, Ramalho rushed home to write his song he would sing at the
dance.
He chose to write a song about his beloved hometown
Bridgeport, CT thinkin everyone who was watching would
love it because they were all from the same place.
But two days before the
dance Ramalho just couldn't make up his mind.
He didn't want to perform anymore because he knew it was challenge writing a hit
song within two days.
But finally he came up with a
chorus and two
verses that he thought would please the
audience.
On the day of the
dance, he got ready for his performance and to do what he dreamed of: to make his
audience scream his name.
After the performance, Ramalho had tons of people come up to him congratulating and complimenting his great first
rap performance.
After that tremendous night, Ramalho had the
motivation he needed to go far.
Soon, he started
writing more
music and finally at the age of 13, he recorded his first
song on his older
cousin, Henry Gomes'
laptop titled "A Hundred Bars" and passed out
CDs to his closest
friends.Nelson
