Satish (Manoj Pahwa) is a film buff. Every time he sees a film ad he goes to see it on the first day itself on the night show. Now he was going to see the film Darna Mana Hai in a nearby theater. His mother cautions him not to take the route via the graveyard because the occasion was AMAVAS KI RAAT but he doesn't listen. Through the graveyard he hits trees and makes fun of the dead. After a while when the film was over not that interesting and no incident he takes the graveyard route again. But this time he hears clinking sounds. Someone seems to be pursuing him. Then he sees a witch face that's scary and dies of cardiac failure. It is then revealed that the clinking was just coins in his pocket and the witch face was just a poster of the new movie Darna Zaroori Hai.

An aged professor (Amitabh Bachchan) lives alone in a small house. He believes that there's also someone other than him in his house, an invisible person. At times, this 'invisible person' rushes to the kitchen. Sometimes, he makes himself comfortable on the chair. Is the professor hallucinating? The professor tries to explain the situation to a student of his (Ritesh Deshmukh), who revolts and in fact advices him to seek psychiatric help. As the student is about to leave the professor finally is able to show the 'invisible man' which appears to be a ghost like reflection of him (the professor) in the mirror.....

One fateful night, a stranger (Arjun Rampal) knocks on the doors of a secluded bungalow. His car has had a breakdown, he needs a mechanic, he ought to make a phone call. The couple Varsha and Rahul (Bipasha Basu and Makrand Deshpande) living in this house are energetic and a bit eccentric. Both constantly try to scare Arjun. When Arjun states that he doesn't believe in ghosts and spirits, Makrand decides to call the spirits. There's a knock on the door and the spirit refuses to go back. After sometime a person comes and tells them about a car in front of the house and the driver is dead.
PS - When they reach the car they find that the driver is indeed dead and it is Arjun Rampal. The spirit was Arjun Rampal.

A Maharashtrian couple (Sunil Shetty and Sonali Kulkarni) have an unexpected visitor in the form of a weird salesman, Prabhakar Pundit (Rajpal Yadav). He is an insurance agent, who wants to sell the insurance policy to the couple. He shows them scenarios where its beneficial from them to take a policy, shows them sources of death commonly found in homes and keeps on reminiding them about the accidents that may happen. In the melee that follows, Rajpal pulls the trigger of the pistol and bang. Rajpal dies and ironically he was the one who wanted to sell the insurance.
Actors: Anil Kapoor and Mallika Sherawat. Director: Jijy Philip.
A leading film-maker, Karan Chopra (Anil Kapoor) wants to change lanes. After making a couple of family dramas, he is keen to make a horror film next. He has thought of a main concept: a lone lady who is actually a ghost, takes lifts from men on the highway, enters their house and kills them. He decides to write the concluding portions of his script at his bungalow in Khandala. Before leaving, he tells his crew to shortlist a girl for the film. En route, he spots a lone lady (Mallika Sherawat), she asks for a lift till Khandala. When they reach the film-maker's bungalow, the lady tells him that she's a ghost. This sends ice-cubes down Karan's neck and he dies of a heart attack (exactly Karan's newest story). It is then revealed that the lady is no ghost but an aspiring actress, shortlisted by his crew trying to impress Karan.
Actors: Randeep Hooda, Zakir Hussain and Rasika Joshi. Director: J.D Chakravarthy.
On a rainy night, Ajay Doshi (Randeep Hooda) accidentally bumps into a woman. He is petrified. The next morning, when he opens his eyes, he finds himself in the police lock-up. He is accused of murdering a man. He claims he's innocent. The cop (Zakir Hussain) refuses to buy the story. The mother of the victim (Rasika Joshi) arrives at the police station. Ajay Doshi suddenly is possessed by the spirit of the woman whom he had bumped into earlier. The cop still refuses to believe the fact that Ajay Doshi is possessed. In a turn of events the spirit enters the Cop and now he is possessed by the spirit of the woman. He draws a gun and kills the mother of the victim (Rasika Joshi). Finally the cop realises that it is actually a spirit and they bury the body of the mother of the victim (Rasika Joshi) and Ajay Doshi heads back to where he was going (the woman is actually murdered by the mother, father and her husband). Ajay Doshi had actually committed the murder when he was possessed.
The old lady and five children. Director: Manish Gupta.
The seventh story is the overarching story that contains the other six stories. While the old lady narrates the stories, the children make excuses to go to the bathroom or have a drink of water. When they return to the group they seem strange and aloof. The last boy doesn't seem scared and tells the old lady that there was nothing really scary about her stories. The old lady smiles eerily and tells him that the last story is the most scary, the one in which the lady is the ghost. The boy tries to run at the end when he discovers that he had been sitting alone all the time and all his friends are dead. He tries to open the main door but the handle comes off and eventually is killed by the old lady who is perhaps a witch or ghost.
The lady in the end tells kid that she had told him 6 stories not 5....whereas at that time she had not told him the story of the man who went to take medicine....she told children that he has gone and will come back.....the story was told in the end by the servant himself to the police..
