DataTag TM is a brand name for a personal health record storage
device. DataTag TM is a registered trademark of SOS Alert Products
of Sonoma, California. It is an invented word, owned and used as a
trademark by SOS Alert Products since 2006. Design and utility
patents are pending with the USPTO.
DataTag TM contains
software which stores personal emergency contact and medical
information on a very thin USB portable flash drive which stores
securely in either a stylish dog tag or a comfortable PVC bracelet.
DataTag TM contains 128mb of storage memory so that x rays and MRIs
may be included.
One of the reasons DataTag TM has gained
popularity is there are no service fees included. Since users input
their own medical information directly on the USB drive, DataTag TM
meets U.S. Government Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Acts (HIPPA) requirements.
DataTag TM has been
sold worldwide and allows for customization of the outer shell for
specific name recognition or organizations. The product has
received the lifetime iParenting award in 2007 in their Excellent
Products of their Safety Category.
