David A. Casey (born August 26, 1979, in Crescent City, CA) is a United States Navy veteran, and is the Libertarian Party nominee for the United States House of Representatives in Texas's 24th congressional district.

Casey was a Nuclear Machinist Mate on the U.S.S. Enterprise (CVN-65) during both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Casey was previously involved in the Libertarian Party of Virginia, and ran as their candidate for House of Delegates, District 93 in 2005.

Congressional Campaign


In September 2007, David Casey filed for candidacy for Congressional District 24 as a Libertarian. On March 22nd, in front of a joint meeting of the Tarrant County, Denton County and Dallas County Libertarians, Casey was unanimously nominated to be the candidate for District 24.

Endorsements


In December of 2007, Casey endorsed Congressman Ron Paul for his 2008 Republican Presidential campaign.<ref> Endorsement for Ron Paul</ref>
