2004 election as well and fared better than the 2002
challenger.
Gill is a proponent of health care reform and he is
a member of Physicians for a National Health Program.
Gill
attended both undergraduate and medical school at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and has been practicing
medicine for the past
25 years. Currently, he is a Medical Director of the Emergency Room
at John Warner Hospital in Clinton, Illinois. He volunteers as a
substitute teacher, at Planned Parenthood of East Central
Illinois, and as a youth sports coach in Clinton. He runs a men's
social club at the DeWitt County Nursing Home and also donates
blood every two months.
David Gill has been married to his wife,
Polly Wright-Gill, for 18 years. They have three children.
