David Jason Silver AKA: Silver Kid (born November 17, 1967) is an American actor and film producer. He started his acting career in February of 2007. His most notable movie is where he plays an Lavished Banker with Topher Grace and Anna Faris in the 23 million Kids In America. He became famous during 2007, after having bit parts in several major Hollywood films including Kids in America , Futureshock: Comet Impact, where he played an Irish Police Officer opposite Scottish actor James Cosmo and Star Wars Biggs Darklighter Garrick Hagon. In the Snappers movie, he portrayed an Tycoon Gambler at a casino. In Vacuuming the Cat, he was featured alongside veteran Hellboy 2: The Golden Army actor Ron Perlman, as a hardwarestore customer. He has a grammy award winner second cousin Lew Soloff. His actress aunt Nancy Fish, is a 40 year veteran of the film industry and his first cousin Natasha Silver is also an actress.

Early Life

His family moved to Arizona when he was 4 years old.

Military Service

Served with the United States Navy Reserves on combat war ship Simpson , based in Virginia [47]. He enlisted as a deck seaman in 1994. He was a second class swimmer and a candidate for Search and rescue school while onboard Simpson.

Amateur Wrestling Career

Was teamates with Professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter Homer Moore, when he attended Phoenix College in 1990 - 1991. This was the same time he competed against 1989 Canadian World Silver Medalist Gary Bohay. In June of 2006, he came out of retirement. That summer at ASU wrestling training facility, he reversed 2X Olympic Gold Medalist 6X World Champion Sergei Beloglazov on closed circuit cameras, yet to be released to date. In 2007, eventually competed against Jijun Ma (China) in the Freestyle division, at 66 KG weight class. The prior day, he was practicing with 2005 Russian Federation World Champion Amateur Wrestler Alan Dudaev where he scored on him in front of their national team. Silver left index finger was shattered in 5 places, following the first period but he continued to finish off the match losing by techical. The International tournamnet took place on the grounds of the United States Olympic Training Center for the Dave Schultz Memorial International Open in Colorado Springs, CO Feb. 9-10, 2007 [48].

Sports

David is a expert skier. He also has been a licensed certified scuba diver since 1979. Very involved with Kick boxing, jujitsu and other combat related sports. He is a member of the National Ski Patrol, since 2005. The exam was cloned as a basic paramedic. Is trained with the 9 mm and other firearms. Skydiving for over 10 years, with 100 jumps.
Specially trained to drive a cigarrette boat and race car.
