David Little, Sr. (January 3, 1959 - March 17, 2005) was a former professional American football player.

College career

Little played linebacker for the Florida Gators from the 1977 to 1980 seasons. He was named an all-conference player several times and was a 1st team All-American in 1980. [1]

Pro career

Little was drafted in the 7th round if the 1980 draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers. He would go on to play 12 seasons at middle linebacker for the team, at one point starting 89 games in a row. He was selected to the Pro Bowl after the 1990 season.

Death

David Little died on March 17, 2005 due to a weightlifting accident at his home in Miami.[2]

Family

Little was the younger brother of Pro Football Hall of Fame guard Larry Little. He was survived by his two sons, wife, and daughter.
