David Michael Richardson (born September 9, 1981 in Inglewood, California) is a former American football cornerback in the National Football League for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was signed by the Jaguars as free agent in 2004.

College career

Richardson attended Cal Poly, and was a letterman in football. As a senior, he won AFCA All-America honors, and started all of the team's 11 games and recorded five interceptions, two touchdowns, 50 tackles, seven pass deflections, and a sack. As a junior, he garnered 3 interceptions and 57 tackles.

Professional career

Richardson spent his first two years as a reserve cornerback. After unsuccessfully competing for the starting job in 2005, he has been relegated to special teams. He moved to safety during the 2006 training camp due to the team's glut of cornerbacks.
