From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Dawn of Light, also known as DOL is an open source server emulator for the MMORPG Dark Age of Camelot. It is written in C# , with limited support for Mono The project can emulate nearly all aspects of the game and server operators can modify the server to adapt custom rules using the .NET Framework It is said that it has numerous security flaws. Compensation for having your account hacked is non-existent.

There are a couple of servers using DOL , with around 30 - 200 players each at any given time , whereas the official servers manage player counts 10 times that high. The community support team is made up of 1 - 15. Thus being on a server with no community support member active means that you will get support from the players, rather a actual gamemaster.

The server is released under the GNU General Public Licence
