Day & Night is a Pixar animated short film directed by Teddy Newton.[1] Unlike previous Pixar shorts, the animation style is combining 2D and 3D elements,[2] and Up production designer Don Shank says it is "unlike anything Pixar has produced before".[3] It is slated to be packaged in theaters before Pixar's feature film Toy Story 3.[4]
The short film covers the events that occur when Day meets Night. Being of two diametrically opposed personalities, they do not trust each other at first and get off on the wrong foot. But as they discover the positive aspects of each other's qualities, they bond and form a friendship - enabling both to grow as individuals.
