Day by Day Armageddon is a post-apocalyptic zombie novel and first time effort by J.L. Bourne, an active duty U.S. Naval Officer. Currently out of print, the book is a journal of the beginnings and aftermath of one man's survival facing an infection that turns infected and dead people into undead zombies.

Due to the popularity of the work, used copies are going for 4 to 8 times the original print price. A sequel to the original is currently being written by J.L. Bourne and follows the lone survivor's travels where the first book ended. The work of J.L. Bourne saw underground success in 2003-2004 when he published his work in realtime on his original website [540].

One of the more noteable facts about the book is that it is written in a journal style and the identity of the main protagonist is never mentioned by name in the book. The original work was illustrated and published by the author as a one man operation.
