Dean DeBlois (born June 7, 1970 in Aylmer, Québec) is a Canadian film director, screenwriter and animator. He is best known for co-writing and co-directing the Disney animated film Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon and directing the Sigur Rós documentary/film Heima. His other credits include Mulan and the forthcoming The Banshee and Fin Magee, as well as the 1980s Canadian animated series The Raccoons.

DeBlois started his career at Hinton Animation Studios and worked as animator on The Raccoons and The Teddy Bears' Picnic. He then joined Don Bluth's Sullivan Bluth Studios in Ireland and worked on Thumbelina and A Troll in Central Park. He also co-wrote the movie Mulan for Disney. In 2003 he directed Lilo & Stitch with Chris Sanders. He also made his directing tribute on Heima. He is now at DreamWorks Animation working with Chris Sanders on the upcoming film How to Train Your Dragon in 3D.
