Deanna Casaluce (born February 7, 1986) is a Canadian actress. She is perhaps best known for playing the Lesbian character Alex Nuñez on Degrassi: The Next Generation.

Carrer

She originally auditioned for the parts of both Paige Michalchuk and Ashley Kerwin. Three years later, the casting director called her to play the role of Alex.

She was a major recurring character in seasons 3 and 4, and got star billing for seasons 5 and 6, and guest starred in season 7. Deanna had stated that season seven will be her last season on Degrassi, as she was moving to Los Angeles to further her acting career in film.

She recently starred in a Lifetime movie, Devil's Diary, alongside Degrassi actress Miriam McDonald and Alexz Johnson from Instant Star. She also had a small role in the 2007 Lifetime Movie "They Come Back".

Life

Casaluce is a great artist, taking after her mother who painted murals all over their basement when Deanna was a child.

Casaluce was born in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada of Italian descent. She is a graduate of the Regional Arts Program at Cawthra Park Secondary School. As of 2007, Casaluce attends the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario.^[1]
