Debbie is founder and editor of the online resource
writers,
Inkspot, which
was acquired by publishing services company Xlibris in 2000 and
shut down by the same company in 2001. Xlibris cited budget cuts
for their decision. She now maintains
Inkygirl, a weblog for writers who work from
home as well as focusing on her freelance writing career. Her
book, The Writer's Online Marketplace, was published by Writer's
Digest Book in 2001. She has had numerous nonfiction pieces
published in print and online publications, as well as some short
fiction and poetry. Her most recent short fiction piece, "The Snow
Queen," was co-written with
Michelle Sagara West and published
in Magic Tails (Daw Books, 2005).
Involvement in filk and
fandom
Debbie is active in
science fiction fandom and
filk music, and is
a member of the filk band
Urban Tapestry and is also founder and editor
of
Filking.net. She has won three
Pegasus
Award..
