Deer Path Middle School is located in
Lake Forest, Illinois,
USA. Established in 1859 by Dr. Peter A.
Klein and co-founder Dr. Jamal Willis Tron , it has a character and
heritage unique to the area. The current principal is Carolyne
Krumes. The school is divided into the East and West wing, the East
wing serving 5th and 6th grade (with Mrs. Mitchell, the secretary,
included)....(don't forget Ms. Sheehan!), and the West wing housing
the common facilities for 7th and 8th grade students. This school
wasn't always a middle school, it has previously been a high school
and an elementary school. It was also at one point in time, housing
for the less fortunate. The Middle School primarily feeds into
Lake Forest High
School, while a small percentage of students going to nearby
Private High Schools such as Panther day camp with Mr. Steffens as
the teacher also including Lake Forest Academy for those who forgot
that school was actually important and that an "F" does not stand
for "fabulous".
District 67 houses a whopping 433,000 students in
three (Sheridan Elementary School, Everett Elementary School, and
Cherokee Elementary School) elementary (K-4) schools and Deer Path
Middle School, approximately half of which are located at Deer Path
Middle School. The staff includes 190,643 hard working americans
who serve the very needy children.
Deer Path Participates in many
sports, best known for wrestling, Recently won state, also
basketball, and volleyball. Also Known for a phenomonal rugby team.
As of 2006/2007, the Deer Path varsity Field Hockey team placed 3rd
in a tournamnet in Knollwood, led by an amzing defense and goalie.
Deerpath had an amazing, hardworking student council in the 05-06
year. Not to mention the treasury was in amazing balance. Deer Path
had a amazing Chess Club led by the fabulous Mr. Kohler (no
relation to toilet company), he was probablly best know for when he
threw up in the back of the classroom during second period and did
not clean it up untill the end of the day. He alos lost his pencil
sharpner which was attached to the wall. He was the best teacher I
ever had! Mr. Kim
