The Defiler is a monstouous War Machine of Chaos. Created at the orders of Abbadon the Despoiler, it is grotesque six-legged machine with a daemon bound inside it. Its main armaments are the Reaper Autocannons attached to its side and the mighty Battle Cannon, similar to those mounted on Leman Russes, but with its six mighty claw-like legs in is more than capable of tearing up opponents in combat as well. It was origionally created by Abbadon the Despoiler for the 13th Black Crusade (See Eye of Terrror Campaign), but has since then appeared in nearley all of the other Traitor Legions. It is especially prominent in The Lost and the Damned, adding some much needed firepower and combat ability to the army.
