Delirium Tremens is an experimental, and progressive rock-metal band.
They were formed during early 2008 by founder Greg Bauer, in Tempe Arizona within the shadows of Arizona State University.
He started the band originally with some aquaintences of his who were Chuck Price, Craig Phoenix, and Bryan Glickstein.
The four original members played for a brief time together, even performing live on one occasion at The Olive Branch in Tempe, AZ.
Craig Phoenix left the band early on, shortly after their first performance citing "creative differences" as the reason for departure.
Through the aid of Craigslist, Delirium Tremens recruited current drummer Steven Kenniff.
He was a relatively new drummer at that time, who formerly specialized in electric guitar.
He joined the band in April 2008, and the line-up changed to: Greg Bauer, Chuck Price, Bryan Glickstein, and Steven Kenniff.
From April to early May 2008, the four continued writing new material.
At some point during early May, guitarist Bryan left the band and moved back to the suburbs of Dallas, TX.
His departure would shake the band's line-up, and drastically alter the style of their music thereafter.
During the time that Bryan was lead guitar in Delirium Tremens songs tended to have a Blues and Late 1960's rock and roll style.
After his departure the line-up would remain a three-piece despite attempts to locate a replacement guitarist.
In an effort to recover from the loss of Bryan, Greg Bauer moved from Vocals/Keyboard to Vocals/Bass Guitar.
Chuck Price moved from Bass Guiter to Lead Electric Guitar.
Steven Kenniff remained on drums.
As of September 2008, Delirium Tremen's line-up still only includes Greg, Chuck, and Steven.
During the time from May 2008 to September 2008, Delirium Tremens wrote new material which evolved from the late 1960's sound of the previous songs, into a more modern and experimental metal.
Progressive rythms as well as multiple time signatures and freestyle jamming were becoming a regular part of the bands sound.
Delirium Tremens is currently awaiting the recording of their 12 song debut CD.
It is scheduled to be recorded during the middle of October 2008, with an expected release date in early November 2008.
Delirium Tremens has not performed live since the absence of Craig Phoenix, but is planning a return to the stage around the middle of October 2008.
