Denis O. Lamoureux is a professor of science and religion at St. Joseph's College at the University of Alberta, Canada. He has doctoral degrees in dentistry, theology, and biology. He is the author of Evolutionary Creation. Along with Phillip E. Johnson, he wrote Darwinism Defeated? The Johnson-Lamoureux Debate on Biological Origins, on the creation-evolution controversy (Regent College, 1999). Lamoureux, a former young-earth creationist, now calls himself an evolutionary creationist, and lectures and writes widely on the topic.
