Biography
Dennis Paul, 18th June
1989-Present.
Dennis Paul has so far had a short but fruitful
life, achieving many accomplishments in his short life time, Dennis
currently resides in Randwick, and is the eldest of two children.
Dennis attends Waverley College and is currently studying for his
Higher School CertificateUpon
completion of his secondary schooling Dennis hopes to become a
pilot with the
RAAF. Dennis
struggled through the early years of his life because of
difficulties imposed on him by his arch-nemesis James Keogh as a
result of relations with Caitlin Keogh (James' sister). However he
was able to overcome these obstacles and prosper in his later years
both on and off the sporting field. Although the relationship
between the two enemies has cooled down, there is still a degree of
mistrust between the two men and Dennis has expressed his desire to
put the past behind them.
Lawn Bowls Career
Dennis
began competing in the illustrious sport of lawn bowls at the age
of 9 and showed incredible potential. At the age of 14 he was
inducted into the
Australian Lawn Bowls
Hall of Fame, an incredible achievement for someone of his age
and he was subsequently offered a scholarship to the NSW Institute
of Sport. Sadly due to school commitments he was obliged to decline
the scholarship. Although no longer competing at state and national
level, he continues to show his support for the sport, often
competing in local competitions, much to the enjoyment of his young
fans.
<blockquote>
"I have watched Dennis compete from an
early age and have seen him blossom into an incredibly talented
young bowler, I see this man achieving great things in his life, if
not in bowling then in one of the many other areas he excells in"
- Matthew O'Callaghan, school friend and bowling
partner.

Dennis competes annually for his high
school springboard diving teams and on the track and field team.
Dennis is best known among the CAS diving community for his
signature 1 and 1/2 reverse pike entry sumersault. This has been a
favourite technique of Dennis since his introduction to the sport
when he was in year 7 at school. His passion and commitment to the
sport was repaid when he won back to back CAS open diving
championships in 2006 and then again in 2007. Both occassions saw
Dennis achieve a near perfect score and in the 2007 competition
held at the Sydney Aquatic Centre at Homebush, his favourite arena,
he recieved a CAS record score of 9.76.
Dennis was able to
transfer his sublime acrobatic techniques that he learnt in the
pool onto dry land as he demonstrated his talent in the high jump
event for the Track and Field team. Dennis is unbelievable
competitor to watch and he saored to new heights, shattering the
previous record of 2m 2cm when he cleared 2m 32 cm on his final
attempt at the annual CAS athletics competition in 2006, his
performance in 2007 is much anticipated and there are great
expectations of the youngster. Next year Dennis will impart his
knowledge to junior members of the high jump team through a
voluntary coaching program.
<blockquote>
"Dennis truly
does have a a spring in every step, he is truly an inspiration to
all those hoping to excell in the high jump event"
- Tamas
Bykerk, Team mate of Dennis Paul

Waverley side to victory) and a style of tournament involving
playoff series(similar to that seen in the NBA playoffs. Dennis has
