Bio:Derek Liu: Born and raised in Hong Kong till I was
eleven, our family then immigrated to Vancouver, Canada, and in
1996 I moved down to California seeking better opportunities. Aside
from the hobbies mentioned, I also enjoy electronics, woodworking,
metalworking, and mechanics. Old hobbies includes modeling,
drawing, RC cars, air guns, and photography. Whenever there's
something new I'd like to learn about it, which lead to the trouble
that I don't have the time to do anything constructive. ^_^; Though
more important than anything are the people around me. If there is
the most motivating and interesting study then it would be to study
and learn from the lives of all my great friends around me. Though
book reading is a close second. I mainly spend my time on computer
books, science fiction (mostly Chinese), self-improvement books,
and various fiction novels recommended by friends. Still trying to
learn Japanese! Hard to be good at it unless I move to Japan and
live there. For the time being I just visit Japan every
year.
GamingLanzer enjoys video games from
the following companies....
Capcom - [Action] Mega Man, Strider,
DarkStalkers, Dungeons & Dragons
Konami - [Shooter/Action]
Gradius, Axelay, Castlvania, Twin Bee
Techno - [Shooter] Thunder
Force 3, Elemental Master
Square - [Role Playing] Final Fantasy
4, Sword of Mana
But one of his all time favs is Street Fighter
2!
AstronomyMy interest in astronomy
began when I was in junior high, which was the perfect time because
I was enrolled in metal work and had access to the workshop in
school. That allowed the little craftsmen within myself to
build a four inch relfector telescope under a hundred dollars.

The scope is mainly used for
viewing plannets, the moon and the few star clusters and galaxies
that are bright enough for the scope to catch. Then you
can project the sun's rays into a large piece of paper much like a
projector and view sun spots with it. - Derek
