Early life

Harrington was born in Savannah, Georgia[1] and moved with his family to The Bronx at the age of 3, where his mother's side of the family originates. He attended a Catholic school and eventually graduated from Fordham Preparatory School, a Jesuit high school. After high school, he attended Manhattan College, but left after only 6 weeks.[citation needed] Afterward, he worked in various other occupations before pursuing acting which included working at a brokerage firm, a deli, in construction, landscaping and as a bartender,[citation needed] mostly to pay for acting classes with John Strasberg. He currently lives in Los Angeles.[citation needed]

His first role was playing Aulon in Luc Besson's The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc. He soon after grabbed prominent roles in films such as The Hole, Ghost Ship and Wrong Turn. Harrington also appeared in the Steven Spielberg sci-fi drama Taken, in which he played Jesse Keys, an abductee of aliens.

In September 2008 he joined the Showtime TV show Dexter.

In December 2008 he played a guest role on Gossip Girl playing Jack Bass, a role he will reprise through guest appearances in Season 3 of the show.[2]
