Devala Gorrick (born July 8, 1987 in Moundsville, West Virginia) is an American soccer player who is currently playing for Pattaya United FC.



He was born Moundsville, West Virginia and his family moved 1989 to Alachua County, Florida, here stepped his family to the Hare Krishnas.[1]


Soccer Career


Gorrick started college soccer with Tyler Junior College in Texas and joined later to the Santa Fe High School.[2] He was then transferred to Barry University in Miami where he was the starting goalkeeper his Junior and Senior year posting a 1.73 GAA and was honored as Defensive player of the week on 4 occasions and also added to the Athletic Deans list. He received his diploma in 2009 in Advertising.


Gorrick started out his professional career signing at Bayamon FC in Puerto Rico for 5 months. He started 10 games, posted 5 shutouts with a .70 GAA. Gorrick played an important role in helping lead Bayamon to be Puerto Rico Soccer League Champions in 2009, winning on aggregate 3-2 over Atletico de San Juan FC.[3]

Gorrick has recently went on trial in Thailand and signed a contract with Pattaya United FC for their 2010 season. Pattaya plays in the top division of Thai football, the Thai Premier League.

International career

Gorrick has never been capped for the United States international team, however he was invited to train with the team in 2009.[4]


Besides his active soccer career Gorrick is owner of the Alachua based Angry Lion Studios and works as Documentary filmmaker and film producer.[5] His first film Waves of Destruction was nominated for the Vaisnava Film / Video Festival Awards.[6]
