Diamond Seven is a new novel by L. F. McHugh published on July 31, 2006. This book has become the center of controversy due to its uncanny resemblance to actual developing news stories and its inside information regarding covert global organizations. Although publicized as “An Apocalyptic UFO Novel”, its graphic portrayal of drug and alcohol abuse has drawn wide criticism from conservative Christian factions who have traditionally endorsed Armageddon scenario books such as the “Left Behind” series. The book features a riveting character plot which develops as a young legal financial wiz, Robert Paul Sanderson, becomes romantically involved with the daughter of an oil empire mogul. The hidden mysteries of Area 51 and alien technology soon come into the mix as Sanderson is appointed to the Trilateral Organization as his company's representative. Events that follow seem to be right out of today’s headlines as the European Union attempts to establish a Middle East peace treaty with Israel and its Arab neighbors. Tension builds as the thrilling story line leads the reader into the precipice of World War III and a possible global nuclear meltdown.
