Creation of DHB Die Hard Baseball was created on November 30, 2005 by
BoSoxDieHard and
oeshbach.
Die Hard Baseball was created for the sole purpose of avoiding trolls and spammers on the
MLB Message Boards and to enjoy baseball talk.
Early success of DHBOne of DHB's keys to success was getting members from the MLB.com boards, to join DHB.
At that time, the MLB.com boards were in turmoil.
Many spammers came, as well as trolls.
Baseball talk wasn't enjoyable over there, and many of the loyal members were fed up.
Then, a link to Die Hard Baseball changed all of that.
They soon found out it was a small community, but it was troll and spam free, which was important.
Some of the earlier members that made the switch were,
vivjeter (Elite Member),
DannyCrisp(Elite Member),
win2day(Global Moderator),
2004wschamps(Elite Member) ,
braveschopbraves(Global Moderator),
Carlfan(Elite Member),
BlueJaysFan(Global Moderator) and
sidthekid87(Admin).
Because of the mass amount of people visiting and posting at Die Hard Baseball, they managed to reach 100 members in less than a week.
This is one of the resons why DHB is successful as today.
How DHB worksDie Hard Baseball is a message board, where people can express their ideas or opinion(*s) about mainly baseball, or any subject.
A "post" is when you create a reply to a topic, or if you are starting a topic.
Members can also create polls, when a question or statement has two or more options, ie.
"Who will win the AL MVP?"
Die Hard Baseball used to be hosted on
Invisionfree, but now hosted by
Invision Power Services 2.1.7.
Die Hard Baseball is also run by Admins, Global Moderators and Moderators, to keep DHB clean from spammers and trolls.
The
Moderation Team are located at the bottom of the forum.
