Digi-Sign provides Certificate Authority [CA] and Public Key Infrastructure [PKI]. Inventions such as the Automated & Authenticated Certificate Delivery [AACD] system for automating the life cycle of SSL Certificates and the Digi-CA Certification Authority systems are used to secure everything from National ID Card implementations to securing online banking using two-factor authentication.

History


The company evolved from the founders' relationship with VeriSign in 1999. Acting as an Affiliate for their Digital Certificates, the business grew until Getronics from the Netherlands became the majority shareholder in the company in 2000. As a result of a management buyout of the company, by 2003 Digi-Sign was a wholly owned Irish company.
