Digital Gravel is an online apparel store founded on January 19, 1999. The site stocks clothing and accessories from independent urban fashion brands, and artwork produced by the designers behind these brands.

Unlike most online retailers, Digital Gravel operates with an Indie ideology, foregoing corporate sponsorship or advertising of any kind on their site. The site's operator's state that this is motivated by a desire to minimize the commercialization of the urban fashion culture because many of its adherents believe that streetwear garments qualify as art objects.

The site also performs a pseudo-encyclopedic function within the diffuse world of urban fashion by providing high-quality photographs of all the products it stocks, often leaving these photographs on the site after the product has sold out.

The Diggers Society

The Diggers Society is a t-shirt of the month club currently run by Digital Gravel. For $250 members receive 12 shirts over a 12 month period. Each shirt is designed by one of the brands that Digital Gravel carries, but the design of the shirt is not revealed until it is released, so a new member will only know what the first shirt they are going to receive looks like. The primary incentive for joining is that each each shirt is released in a limited edition and is only available to members, making them (at less than $25 each) some of the cheapest limited edition releases in the industry. http://www.digitalgravel.com/diggersinside.htm
