Dingmans Campground is a unique 133-site rustic campground located in the scenic Pocono Mountains in Dingmans Ferry, Pennsylvania. The campground property is in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area (DEWA). Dingmans Campground offers a variety of camping settings, with prime campsites along the banks of the Delaware River, spacious forest campsites and picturesque meadow campsites.

The DEWA offers endless opportunities for outdoor recreation for the whole family. Within a few minutes drive of the campground, there are numerous waterfall attractions, historical sites and quality hiking trails. Some of the most scenic stretches of the Appalachian Trail (AT) are only a few miles away in New Jersey. Canoeing on the Delaware River is an enjoyable and popular activity. Dingmans Campground operates a private canoe livery service, offering river canoe trips through the Spring, Summer and Fall. Several river canoe trips are offered daily.

Campground Rates


  • Forest Campsites are $25 per night.

  • River Campsites are $28 per night.

  • Group Campsites are $60 per night.

  • No per person charges.

  • Typical campsite accommodates 2 tents, 2 vehicles and 8 people.

  • 3 tent campsites accommodate 3 tents, 3 vehicles and 12 people.

  • 1 tent campsites accomodate 1 tent, 1 vehicle and 4 people.

  • Group campsites accomadate 10 tents, 10 vehicles and 40 people.

  • 2 night weekend minimum. 3 night holiday weekend minimum.

    Delaware River Canoe Trips


    Canoe trips are offered to campground patrons and the public. Parking available and groups are welcome. The persons are traveled via a shuttle bus. The Delaware River is currently closed due to river contamination by the recent floods. You leave the mentioned site and return at the campground.

    Daily Trips: (Trips depart the campground store)
  • 9:00am - Matamoras (12 miles in 5-6 hours)

  • 10:00am - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)

  • 11:00am - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)

  • 11:30am - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)

  • 12:00pm - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)

  • 12:30pm - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)

  • 1:00pm - Milford (8 miles in 3-4 hours)


  • Canoe Trip Rates

  • Adult (12 or older) - $27.00/person

  • Child (5-11) - $15.00/perosn

  • Transport - $12.00/person

  • Guided Trip available for an additional $125 per trip

  • All participants must know how to swim.

  • All participants must wear a PFD at all times on the river.

  • Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the river.

  • All boats must return to the campground river access by 5:00PM.

  • Canoeing Season April 1 - October 31.

  • You must be in campground store 15 minutes prior to departure of your trip.Canoe van departs promptly and will not wait for late arrivals.

    The campground offers shuttle bus trips to the Appalachian Trail four times a day:

    Rates:
    Adult - (12 and over) - $12.00/person
    Child - (7-11) - $8.00/child
    Guided AT Trip available for an additional charge of $125 per trip.

    Day Trips Offered:
    5 miles in 3 hours
    9 miles in 7 hours

    Drop-Off Schedule:
    9:00am - Route 206, Culvers Lake to Buttermilk Falls (9 miles) or Route 206 to Brinks Rd. (5 miles)
    10:00am - Route 206 to Brinks Rd. (5 miles)
    11:00am - Route 206 to Brinks Rd. (5 miles)
    12:00pm - Route 206 to Brinks Rd. (5 miles)

    Pick-Up Schedule:
    1:00pm - Brinks Rd. (9:00am 5 mile group)
    2:00pm - Brinks Rd. (10:00am 5 mile group)
    3:00pm - Brinks Rd. (11:00am 5 mile group)
    4:00pm - Buttermilk Falls (9:00am 9 mile group)
