Discovery Science Europe/ME is a television channel targeting the European countries and the Arab World, focusing on programmes relating science and technology. The channel is broadcasting English language programmes, but carries subtitles in a variety of languages. It is broadcast from Discovery Networks Europe in the United Kingdom using a broadcasting license from Ofcom.
It is available from numerous satellite, cable and IPTV distributors across Europe and the Middle East. In Sweden and Estonia it is also available in the terrestrial networks.
On April 1, 2008 the channel was relaunched and got a new logo. The new logo consisted of a box and the letters "Sc", similar to the boxes of the periodic table. Discovery Science in the UK and The Science Channel in the United States had already adopted similar logos.[1]
