Dissident Voice is an internet newsletter that began publishing articles in 2002 under the editorship of Sunil K. Sharma of Santa Rosa, California. Frequent DV contributing writer Kim Petersen, based in Nova Scotia, joined the publication as co-editor in September 2005. Dissident Voice has since become a leading publication of news and commentary, covering domestic and international politics, economics, culture, science, and the arts.

While the political leaning of Dissident Voice's editors tends toward left-wing anarchism, the publication represents a broad -- and often divergent -- range of views among the progressive left on any given issue, including articles that strongly critique other published DV material. During the 2004 American presidential election, for example, Dissident Voice featured many conflicting articles on the issue of whether or not to vote for a third party ticket (e.g. Ralph Nader's bid as an Independent candidate or the Green Party) or support the Democratic Party to counter the perceived greater evil of the Bush administration and the Republican Party.

Many articles released by the newsletter have caused controversy. An article titled "Jew and Me" by Adam Engel claimed that there is no need to distinguish between Jews and Zionists because "nearly every Jew I've ever known – not including writers on the web – has been a "supporter" of Israel and its land-grabbing, people stomping ways, I won't take shit from yahoos who could give a damn about the Palestinians, but just want to "get in on the act" by indulging in a little Jew-baiting of their own." Engel also stated that Palestinians should not differentiate between an IDF soldier and and American Jew.[335]

The Website has included articles written by Noam Chomsky, Robert Fisk, Joshua Frank, Leilla Matsui, Media Lens, Mickey Z., Kim Petersen, John Pilger, Norman Solomon, Seth Sandronsky, Lila Rajiva, William Blum, Phil Rockstroh, Harold Williamson, Patricia Goldsmith, among many others.

Dissident Voice's long list of admirers includes a pro-Zinonist troll who apparently has nothing better to do with his/her pathetic and empty life than to constantly post derogatory comments on this page; a prime example of the stunted mental development that afflicts and typifies most Zionists.
