For a long time now, religions and individual mystics have exhorted allegiance to what might be called “Supernatural Love”, union with the Transcendent Logos as the ultimate spiritual ideal. Campbell’s lifetime of devoted research to the human quest exposed this core of our religious roots. If we see Eros as the expression of sexual loving and logos as reason and knowing, it only makes sense that the Unity of this expression would be part of the human experience. It exists on every level including the sub-atomic.

Somehow in the course of human evolution, the immanent presence of Eros at the heart of each cell of creation has been buried in all but the most secret societies of arcane knowledge. This has created an instability in the way energy moves on the planet. As all unstable systems tend to reorganize at a higher level. The Feminine influence is now resurfacing as a healing and stabilizing influence.

Other names for the universal recognition of this dynamic Benevolence are Qwan Yin, in the Chinese Tradition, The Great Mother of Aboriginal Renown, The Great Goddess of Western Paganism, and The Blessed Mother of Christianity. In each instance a personally recognizable expression of the Divine Feminine as archetype is seen as active in our history (herstory).

As this Third Millennium dawns, the worldwide emergence of Women as the undeniable determining force in each successive social equation, is becoming common knowledge. From the pioneering Women’s Consciousness Movement in the United States, to women’s ongoing, and increasingly visible, struggle for civil and religious freedom throughout the world, the planetary social order is progressively and rapidly being shaped and influenced by Women and their unique feminine consciousness.

The Divine Feminine Institute was developed as a way of introducing others to the liberating experience of the deep roots of our natural being. By learning and exploring the pathways into our authentic experience of self, we come to know life from the inside out. We come to feel at one with our essentially friendly, original nature; pleased to be living, in a body, on Earth.

This means that we are able to feel connected to both the objective natural world and to the subjective world within us. It means being able to communicate effectively and allowing our creativity to manifest through words, music, dance, art, and creative projects. It means being able to see new ways of doing things.

These imbalances appear as our disconnection from the natural cycles of the earth, in fears and insecurities about being able to care for ourselves; in the contraction of our sexuality; in our diminished ability to use our will and to feel empowered; in the emotional pain in our hearts; in our inability to know and speak our truth without blame and judgment; in our confusion and uncertainty as to which options are best for ourselves, our families and our communities; and in our feelings of estrangement from a higher purpose in our lives.

The Divine Feminine Institute teaches men and women the intimate secrets of sexual healing, as well as practices that open the heart towards oneself and each other.
The alignment with this awareness supports a unique and holistic approach to exploring and understanding the dynamics of the feminine essence, as well as how it interplays with the masculine. All awakened women are personifications of the Divine Feminine and each woman on the planet embodies these mysteries that are now being revealed. Men are also awakening to, and discovering the immense power of, this receptive nurturing dimension of their souls. The Divine Feminine is also a quality of energy as well as an embodiment.

We are unveiling new divine feminine archetypes, real –as compared to “role”- models for the 21st century. We must do this together, releasing the old patterns that carried jealousy, competition, judgments, anger and victim consciousness. Who are we without the baggage? Who are we in cooperation? Who are we with all our sexual-spiritual energy intact? Who are we with our artistic nature unleashed?

This sacred feminine consciousness teaches us the more refined arts of sexual love, and reveals the healing and wholeness that await us as we reclaim our passion and inner authority as evolved women and men. Thus the essential link is remembered as the “Godness” within comes forth and transforms the mundane into the sacred. Unity consciousness becomes obtainable by degrees of surrender to the inner guidance that comes from body wisdom as well as mind. Life then becomes an accepted invitation to integrate the passion of our lives in a sustainable balanced way.

Caroline Muir and Joan Heartfield, Ph.D., arrived at the doorway of the Divine Feminine from different directions, bringing a diversity of strengths. Each had polished facets of the Divine Feminine within themselves, and recognized the need to pass on these gifts to others.

As a teacher of Sacred Sexuality for twenty years in the popular workshops Tantra, The Art of Conscious Loving, and co-author with Charles Muir of a book by the same name, Caroline Muir has taught thousands of people how to successfully heal their sexual/emotional wounds, and free their sensual, orgasmic birthright from early conditioning and mis-education and to awaken to the true nature of sexual love. (Opening to the pleasure that is our birthright can be both rapturous and shocking. If we don’t know this dimension of experience, we can hardly believe it when it begins to reveal itself.) Joan Heartfield, PhD., is a master of communication, relationships and intimacy. She and her husband Tomas are the creators of Romancing The Beloved, Conversations That Matter, and Opening To Love Ceremonies.

Caroline birthed the vision of Divine Feminine as “a world wide weaving of the feminine,” and invited Joan to join her. They began with retreat weekends called “The Initiation”, and skillfully guided women in claiming their full identity as spiritually-sexual, fulfilled and juicy beings. Meanwhile men queried them as to how they could participate in “serving the goddess”. The ten-day training modules create this opportunity.

Education is the first step for both men and women. When people are fulfilled in meeting their needs for love, pleasure, and erotic innocence, they are then able to create more harmony in their lives.

This brings us to the subject of “learning how to really love and be loved by one another”… far more than to simply co-exist. We must bring sex out of the realms of porn and off the dusty shelf! Transform sex into an art form of loving! This energy of Life is one of our greatest resources, as well as a basic primal need.

Tantra Yoga is an ancient study from Eastern cultures, now modernized for a world very deprived of a reverence for the act of creating life. Life not only in the form of a child, but the very essence of Life that is produced through ecstatic sexual pleasure, joined to Love… a blending or an integration of our passionate selves and our loving or spiritual selves. In order to weave these parts into an integrated whole, we must bring consciousness into the bedroom and into all of our connections with other human beings.

Showing women and men how to love and care for themselves and one another create successful relationships. This begins with a desire to serve life fully. We suggest that we all surrender to the Divine Feminine within…that place of great compassion, truth and love…our deepest heart. As we identify with her, we come to a place where we begin to see deeper into the truth of who we are, and we become clearer, kinder and more caring.

We have a power that lies dormant within us. We can claim this power as our natural, healthy, emotional, sexual nature. We can be conscious and conscientious in using this power. We can play with this energy in ways that are full of integrity. With this energy honored and respected, we can come into the fullness and radiance of our erotic divinity.
