Do It Yourself is the only album by the Seahorses, a short-lived English alternative rock band that John Squire, formerly guitarist in the Stone Roses formed. The album's cover features a photograph of Squire's 1996 sculpture, also named Do It Yourself.
The album's highest charting single was "Love Is the Law", which made the number three spot on the UK Singles Chart. The single was a much shorter radio edit of the album track; it did not feature Squire's guitar solo. "Love Me and Leave Me" was Liam Gallagher's first full-credited song.
A short UK tour in December 1997 promoted the album's release. American alternative rock band Third Eye Blind accompanied the Seahorses on the tour.
All songs composed by John Squire unless otherwise noted.
