Doctor Doom's Fearfall is an attraction located at Islands of Adventure in Universal Orlando Resort. The attraction opened with the park in 1999, and is located in the Marvel Super Hero Island area of the theme park. The attraction is a double Free Fall Drop, and is currently the tallest ride in the resort with Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit.

The storyline in the ride is that Doctor Doom, villain in the Marvel Comics universe, has lured volunteers to him in order to collect "fear juice" from them.

Riders enter the Latverian Embassy, Doctor Doom's front for his headquarters on the island. Latveria is a small European country which Doctor Doom rules with an iron fist. The queue includes themeing and various TV monitors.

When riders enter the pre-show area, a video plays explaining that Doctor Doom has invented his ultimate weapon to destroy the Fantastic Four, the Fear Fusion Dynamo. However, to power it he needs to collect "fear fuel" from the riders screams on his Fear Fall towers in order to proceed. When the video ends, riders enter the ride vehicles.

Riders enter two Free Fall drop style vehicles with shoulder bars mounted against two towers both standing at 200 feet tall. When Doctor Doom has prepared his Fear Fall towers, riders are blasted up into the air twice. As said on the Universal Studios Orlando website, the first launch uses more thrust than a 747 jet engine and accelerates faster than the space shuttle. At the conclusion of the ride, it is revealed that Doom has not collected enough fear juice to kill the Fantastic Four, and the attraction ends on a cliffhanger as riders exit into an arcade.

  • Doctor Doom occasionally makes character appearances around the attraction during peak seasons.
  • An extended queue area is themed to a warehouse which has been invaded by Marvel villains.
  • It takes an average of 20 seconds before you are shot up.
  • Starting in 2009 the ride uses a clock to tell you where you are shot up, but usually it stops at 9 or 8 seconds.
