Don't Be Afraid of the Dark is a 2011 horror film written by Matthew Robbins and Guillermo Del Toro as a remake of the 1973 ABC made-for-television horror film of the same name.[1] The film stars Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce, and Bailee Madison, and is being directed by first time director and del Toro protege Troy Nixey.[1][2][3]

A young girl, (Madison) after moving in with her father (Pearce) and his girlfriend (Holmes) soon discovers creatures are living in the house with them. Originally thought to be friendly, she soon learns other wise.
