Daoist Master Dong Yang(born 1960, Beijing, China) is 13th generation Zhongnan & 24th generation Huashan non-religious Daoist now based in Sydney Australia.

Master Dong Yang started training at a early age in Beijing, China. Master Dong Yang had several teachers, one lives in the famous Daoist Zhongnan mountains. His name is Wang Ming Li and was originally from Shanxi. He had travelled to Beijing and stayed in the famed Taoist White Cloud Temple where Master Dong Yang came under his tutelage some 30 years ago. Master Wang didn't teach or speak to other people about Daoism. He didn't belong to any sect but was highly revered - he was also quite old at the time but looked very young and healthy as is expected of a Taoist of high achievement. Master Dong Yang also had several other teachers who have asked not to be named publically.

From the start, Master Dong Yang learnt genuine Daoist knowledge , the original non-superstitious, non-religious aspect of Daoism and unadulterated natural knowledge and natural practice to cultivate and grow the internal Elixir of life (nei dan ) as refered to in Taoist Internal_alchemy, Neigung, Qigong and Daoyin. Apart from Internal Martials Arts such as Tai Chi, Baguazhang and Xingyiquan, he also mastered Taoist Chinese_calligraphy, Taoist painting , Wei_Qi-strategy board game and the traditional Taoist Classical literature of Lao Tzu , Lü Dongbin and others.

He branched out from main Daoist lineages that stem from private Daoist hermits. Today Master Dong Yang promotes The Dao as a practical, effective, heatlhy, stress reducing and functional way to deal with the modern world, with ease and without having to withdraw from it. His methods do not involve religious rituals and rites, chants or prayers, there is simply the cultivation of energy Qi and developing the internal elixir and the constant respect and harmonious relationship with nature. It is believed that the cultivation of Qi leads to healing and spontaneous restoration of health as a consequence of restoring the body's pre-natal Qi. Several students bear testimony to personal experiences of such healing from chronic ailments such as asthma and joint related pain.

Master Dong's teachings is based on mainstream Taoist classics which include Lao Tzu's Tao Te Ching written circa 550BC and other works by the Yellow Emperor.

Master Dong bridges the gap between this ancient knowledge and the modern world in the tradition of Lao Zi and Lü Dongbin (both famous for spreading Daoist knowledge to the public).
