Early life

Donald Joseph Klang was born in Brooklyn, New York. He has been involved in entertaining since he was young. Klang started off modeling as a baby and doing television and film work as an adolescent. From his father's second marriage, Klang gained a step family, including three sisters and many new cousins. He has worked labor jobs for ten hours a day. He attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York for a major in business degree and minor in music. Klang decided to take a semester off of college to pursue his music career and went on tour with his group. He stated that he auditioned for American Idol, but was rejected. Not long after he returned to Hofstra University, the chance came for Making the Band, and he again took time off from college.

During a live chat, Klang stated that he is of Italian, German and Puerto Rican descent.

Career

Klang released his debut album, Just a Rolling Stone, on September 2, 2008. It was preceded by lead single "Take You There", featuring Diddy, which was released on March 23, 2008. It only reached #10 on the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 (#110). The second single, "Dr. Love", was due for a release in December of 2008, but it's release was canceled, as the album debuted at #19 on the Billboard 200, selling a measly 20,000 copies, and only went on to sell 60,000 copies worldwide.

Klang is currently working on his second studio album, Welcome to Heartbreak, due to be released in the first half of 2010. It is also rumored that he may be joining Day26 as a replacement for former group member Qwanell Mosely, but this has yet to be confirmed or denied.
