Donald "Donnie" Van Zant (born June 11, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida) is an American rock vocalist/guitarist. He is the younger brother of the early Lynyrd Skynyrd founder and singer Ronnie Van Zant, and the older brother of Southern rock and present Lynyrd Skynyrd singer Johnny Van Zant.

Van Zant formed 38 Special in 1975, and is one of the lead singers. The band, which started as a Southern rock band and switched to a more straight-ahead rock sound, had several hit singles between 1981 and 1991.

In 2005, Donnie had issues with blood clots and has to take medication as a result.

As of 2009, Van Zant performs with 38 Special and with younger brother Johnny as Van Zant.

Donnie also performed with Lynyrd Skynyrd on the Hank Williams, Jr. edition of CMT Giants, as he does frequently.
