Doors CS is a graphical shell for the Texas Instruments TI-83 and TI-84 created by KermMartian of Cemetech. It allows the user to run assembly programs that were compiled for it, MirageOS, or the Ion shell. It also runs TI-Basic programs, including those with Mirage OS headers. It also implements a special header format that allows Basic programs to have 8*8 or 16*16 icons. It is planned to open Black Eagle Shell programs (both assembly and basic).
DoorsCS currently implements an entire GUI API, and has a graphical desktop that upon completion will include hot-pluggable support for PS/2 mice and keyboards. Progress has also begun on the Calcnet 2.2 protocol, a networking api that will be built into DoorsCS6 to allow calculators to network with each other over local networks, and over the internet, as well as access network devices such as TCP/IP printers.
The CS of the name stands for calculator shell. The Doors of the name is a pun on the popular Windows operating system.
Doors CS is progressing towards version 6, scheduled to be released on 1/1/07 and is currently at version 5.8 beta 4

Consumer Reviews:

1) This shell is the best ever. It doesnt crash like mirage, and if a program is faulty, it tells you why and doesnt crash you calculator!!! The GUI is so cool! It looks like windows for calculator! Has a start menu and icons and stuff. Even a built in battery-meter. This is a way cool must-download.
